The front of the Humphrey Coliseum at night

The Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville, Mississippi is the home of the Mississippi State Bulldogs Basketball teams. Known to MSU fans and opponents as "the Hump", the Humphrey Coliseum seating chart can hold up to 10,500 basketball fans, concert goers and other attendees. Humphrey Coliseum is regularly utilized by Mississippi State University for basketball games, concerts, graduation ceremonies and other large scale events.

Located at Lakeview Dr, the Humphrey Coliseum stands the equivalent of seven stories high and is an oval shaped coliseum that is 318 feet long by 268 feet wide. The outside has distinctive concrete pillars and Mississippi red-brick siding. The seating is arranged into 2 tiers and although Humphrey Coliseum capacity is only 10,500 fans have exceeded that for sell out games three times, with the record attendance being at a basketball game against the Mississippi Rebels in 2004 where there were 10,753 fans packed into the coliseum.

Mississippi State Bulldogs opponents talk often about the difficulty of playing in "the Hump" due the very loud atmosphere that is always present. Most of the noise can be attributed to Rick's Rowdies, the name for the student and alumni fans that stand in the cheering section and make it almost too loud to think, according to Florida Basketball player Corey Brewer. Humphrey Coliseum is noted by not only players but other sports writers to be the hardest venue in the SEC for opponents.

Buy Humphrey Coliseum tickets today and help add to the chaos that makes "the Hump" one of the most feared venues in NCAA basketball.
