Ole Miss Games

Ole Miss games call the University of Mississippi their home in Oxford, Mississippi. Founded in 1884, the university got its nickname of Ole Miss from a student contest that's aim was to name the yearbook. The Ole Miss sports teams followed suit and all Ole Miss games boasted the nickname as well. Known for a rich history that includes not only an active role in the Civil War and a front-row seat at the height of the Civil Rights movement, the University of Mississippi is also respected in several academic areas and in all Ole Miss games.

Ole Miss games are a large part of life at the University of Mississippi. The school's mascot is the Rebels and all Ole Miss games are played under this name. The Ole Miss sports teams are NCAA Division I and participated in the 12-member Southeastern Conference. Ole Miss sports boast the colors Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue.

There are 12 men's and women's Ole Miss sports teams that compete in Ole Miss games at the University of Mississippi. The most popular Ole Miss games on campus are Ole Miss Rebel football, Men's Rebel basketball and Ole Miss Lady Rebel basketball. Ole Miss sports fans are known for getting rowdy during Ole Miss games in support of the Ole Miss teams and often can be heard from neighboring towns on game days singing the Ole Miss sports cheer!
