Derrick Burgess is a University of Mississippi Alum and former Ole Miss defensive end. At Ole Miss, Burgess led his fellow Rebels in sacks as a senior and was named to the first-team All-SEC.

In the 2001 NFL Draft, Derrick Burgess was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles and played in all 16 games in his rookie season. After four seasons with the Eagles, Burgess went on to play with the Oakland Raiders and the New England Patriots before joining back with the Eagles in 2010. Derrick Burgess is currently a free agent.
