Eli Manning
New York Giants quarterback, Elisha Nelson Manning, is a former Ole Miss Rebels football player. Coming from a family famous for their natural quarterback skills, it was no surprise when Eli Manning showed immense talent on the football field from a young age. Manning followed in his father’s footsteps after high school and attended the University of Mississippi as well as joining the Ole Miss Rebels football team. With the Rebels, Eli Manning continuously led his team to victories and blasted through numerous records on the field. Right out of college, Eli Manning was drafted as the first overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers and was immediately traded to the New York Giants. Manning has shined on the frontline ever since he joined on with the Giants and, after leading them the 2008 Super Bowl XLII championship title, won the MVP award. Eli Manning has earned many achievements over his career, including a Pro Bowl Selection and Sporting News Sportsman/Pro Athlete of the Year award. Although the NFL keeps Manning quite busy, he tries to make it to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium as much as he can to catch an Ole Miss Football game.
